The Education Committee of the Farsi Speakers Community of Afghanistan in the USA is dedicated to creating, organizing, and delivering educational programs and services to support students in their personal, professional, and academic development.

Our initiative aims to equip students both in the USA and globally with the necessary skills to thrive in the competitive education system, especially in the age of internationalization and information technology. Even American students face the challenge of competing with international counterparts for top college placements, adding an extra layer of difficulty for students who grapple with unfamiliarity with the U.S. higher education system, language barriers, and cultural differences.

In addition, our program will focus on providing professional and skill-based training to enhance the competitiveness of students and recent graduates in the job market. We are also committed to assisting individuals seeking vocational training and facilitating adult education for newly arrived immigrants.

The Education Committee of the Farsi Speakers Community of Afghanistan in the USA seeks to establish a platform for community members, fostering the sharing of job opportunities, internships, academic and professional resources, networking forums, and skills-based training/webinars.

Furthermore, the committee offers volunteer services for translation between English and local Afghanistan languages.

As a preliminary step, the education committee will conduct a series of virtual information sessions on various aspects of U.S. higher education, including an introduction to it, undergraduate and graduate education, and financing options. Additionally, the committee is working on developing webinars covering topics such as financial literacy, credit building, and various professional and skill-based certification programs.
